Must have a genuine interest in geriatric work and a willingness to work for the best interest of the facility. Have a positive, upbeat personality and work cooperatively with others.
RN Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be customer oriented and committed to customer service
- Have proper assessment skill to detect changes in resident condition
- Required to perform medication passes in accordance with state regulations for a residential care facility
- Oversee and direct STNAs and CNAs within the realm of their job description
- RNs represent nursing as a team player to other departments throughout the facility
- Communicate any changes in condition of a resident to the doctor, family and Director of Nursing
- Assist with hands on care when required or requested by other personnel or a resident
- Work toward maintaining each residents self-respect, personal dignity and safety
- Encourage residents to exercise their resident rights
- Understand the facility must be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays
- Understand the you will be on call at time for the Director of Nursing
- All other duties as assigned
RN Required license or certification:
- RN must have Nursing Degree from an accredited program or college/university
- A current, unencumbered, active Ohio RN license
- Current CPR
- Experience with PointClick Care preferred, but not required
- At least one year experience in Elderly Care preferred.
