What can you expect?
As the Logistics and Materials Coordinator you will work onsite in North Pole, AK and will be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking, movement, and organization of materials, equipment and supplies across multiple locations. This role involves utilizing logistics software (HCSS) to track assets, maintain data accuracy, and support operational needs. The Logistics and Materials Coordinator will work closely with the Logistics Manager, Equipment Manager, Project Management Teams, Vendors, and Freight Carriers to facilitate shipments, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies. Personal initiative and critical thinking skills are essential to complete job duties. Assignments are deadline driven, must be able to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure environment.
How will you do it?
- Develop, update, and maintain protocols for ensuring accuracy of materials/equipment movement.
- Utilize equipment management software (HCSS to track assets, equipment, maintenance and repairs, utilization, costs, location, etc.
- Works closely with Project Management teams and Vendors to ensure equipment and materials arrive at remote locations on time.
- Assist with organizing and loading shipping containers and flats in preparation for logistics moves.
- Assist with inventory, organization, and storage in the company yards.
- Coordinate and document parts and materials for logistics operations including land, water, and air freight shipments.
- Act as a direct conduit between operations, maintenance, personnel, and dispatch.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationships with vendors and freight carriers.
- Work with Logistic, Project, and Equipment managers to execute equipment mobilizations and demobilizations.
- Provide Management and Project Management Teams with logistics support and solutions, including related research and reporting.
- Coordinate administrative equipment needs with the Logistic & Equipment Manager to include but not limited to; registrations, certifications, permits, licensing, etc. with both the State of Alaska and Federal Agencies.
- Implement and ensure adherence of Logistics policies and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient department operations.
- Monitor vendor performance regarding cost, quality and delivery and negotiate with vendors as needed to ensure best possible pricing.
- Assist the purchasing agents to help with shipping and delivery of materials, parts and supplies.
- Travel to field locations to help facilitate barge loading (approximately 10% of the time).
- Actively participate in periodic staff and operational meetings.
- Manage multiple inboxes in Outlook 365.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of Alaska and Pacific Rim logistics requirements.
- Knowledge of Alaska’s and Pacific Rim’s land, water, and air freight industry.
- Ability to work on a team with other construction professionals toward common goals.
- Ability to communicate with employees, business partners, and clients professionally and effectively via written and verbal communication methods.
- Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others; ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner.

- Proficiency in standard computer software, application programs, Microsoft Office Suite.

Who is Brice Incorporated looking for?
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Inc’s Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Two years’ experience working in a similar position, construction industry preferred.
