Swim Instructors present a professional appearance and positive attitude always and maintains a high standard of customer service. Swim Instructors are a vital connection to our members ensuring our brand promise of Helping people change their lives for the better. Swim Instructors are responsible for teaching people of all ages how to swim. Their students include infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and physically and mentally challenged children and adults. A swimming Instructor must be able to work with a timid student as well as a confident one. Maintains constant surveillance of client while in session; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide world class customer service to our members and guests
- Ensure our aquatic members are safe and supervised at all times
- Ensure the aquatic center is clean, neat and tidy; according to our Feng Shui Principles
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional service to all Brick Bodies members and guests
- Soliciting and responding to member feedback regarding club or program activities and communicating the information to management
- Always Maintains a professional behavior
Additional Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate skills in swim lessons instruction
- Knowledge of skills required for class content and use of teaching aids such as kick-boards, diving rings, life-jackets, etc.
- Evaluate students who are learning swimming under the swimming instructor.
- Taking note of the weaknesses of students and training them accordingly.
- Helping students get past their fear of water and swimming.
- Teaching them life saving techniques for themselves and to help save others lives.
- Demonstrates quality swim lessons.
- Submit reports of students along with attendance regularly
- Attend meetings and training

Qualifications
- Previous aquatic experience is preferred
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is preferred but not required.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid
- Ability to work independently and exhibit energy and enthusiasm.
- Ability to positively interact with the public.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with the commitment to excellence
- Ability to follow directions well
- Ability to work well unsupervised
