We are actively hiring experienced dishwashers and cooks to become Utility Team Members at Brick City Vegan. The duties of this combined position include :

Utility Team Member Responsibilities :

Set up and maintain a safe, clean, sanitized, and organized dish station area

Properly clean and sanitize all dishware

Perform all opening and closing duties in the dining room, restroom, and dish area

Maintain a clean dining room throughout the shift

Clean and sanitize tables and booths after each customer

Follow all procedures for maintaining a properly working dish machine

Empty trashcans and remove trash bags throughout the day

Preparing kitchen area for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations

Unload and store deliveries, daily or as needed

Prepare food for service according to recipe

Assist on kitchen line when needed throughout the shift

Prepare menu items to recipe and follow special instructions

Follow all food safety standards

Sweep and mop floors following all safety guidelines, especially if items are broken or spilled

Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others

Supporting other team members by assisting with other tasks, as needed

Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures

Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and / or busy times.

Maintain the organization of all chemical and cleaning supplies; including the proper storage of mops, brooms, etc.

Utility Team Member Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

Maintain a professional appearance

Must have relative work experience

Be a team player and work as a team

Recognize the needs of the customer

Ability to follow a recipe

Knowledge of knife safety

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Exceptional time management skills

Able to maintain professionalism at all times

Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds

Willingness to comply with all food and safety procedures

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Salary : 15.00 per hour
