Job Summary
The Mid-Level Woodworker is responsible for crafting, assembling, and occasionally finishing wooden components and products while maintaining high standards of precision and quality. This role requires experience with woodworking tools, machinery, and techniques, as well as an understanding of wood species and material properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to produce high-quality wood products.
- Operate woodworking machines such as saws, planers, jointers, routers, and sanders.
- Cut, shape, and assemble wood components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Prepare, assemble, and sand wood products to meet quality and design specifications.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to customer and company standards.
- Assist in the repair, modification, or customization of existing wood products.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and machinery are properly cared for.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve woodworking and production issues as they arise.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of experience in woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, or a related field.
- Knowledge in furniture-making
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in using woodworking tools and machines, including table saws, band saws, routers, planers, jointers, and CNC equipment.
- Strong understanding of wood properties, joinery techniques, and finishing methods.
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Experience with CNC woodworking machines and software.
- Experience in custom woodworking and fine carpentry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
