Platform Engineer (ArgoCD/Crossplane)

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our Service Platform team within the Compute Platforms and Developer Experience (CPDX) organization. In this role, you will contribute to the development of modern, scalable, and flexible technology platforms that enable developers to build, deploy, and manage applications efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions for a Kubernetes Foundational Platform.
• Implement Kubernetes controllers and GitOps deployment of CNCF components.
• Provide technical coaching to junior engineers.
• Ensure security, observability, availability, and reliability best practices are adopted.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and implement platform strategies.
• Contribute to development standards, best practices, and training materials.
• Document, present, and advocate technology solutions across teams.

Qualifications - Minimum Requirements:

• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• 2 years of experience operating Kubernetes-based solutions in production.
• Strong expertise in designing large-scale distributed systems on public cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols and architecture.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in developing Kubernetes controllers using Golang.
• Experience with ArgoCD, Crossplane, or similar GitOps tools.
• Ability to build cloud-agnostic solutions.
• Familiarity with governance and compliance requirements for global platforms.
• Passion for improving enterprise developer experiences.
• Strong collaboration skills in a matrixed organization.
