What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Designer position at BrickRed Systems?
We are looking for a Product Designer, who will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative footwear concepts from ideation to prototype. You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with product designers, developers, engineers, and mold makers to bring ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive digital footwear creation, transforming concepts into physical prototypes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and technicians
- Develop and present 3D assets to communicate design intent
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and present design assets that effectively communicate design intent.
- Stay up to date with digital design trends, tools, and technologies
- Assist in prototyping and manufacturing to ensure feasibility of designs
For Product Design Role 1:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Animation, Architecture, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in product/footwear design
- Strong skills in 3D modeling (Maya, Modo, Rhino, ZBrush, Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Hands-on experience in concept prototyping & rapid prototyping (RP)
- Strong creativity, teamwork, and communication skills
For Product Design Role 2:
- 5-7 years of experience in footwear product creation, CNC programming, or related fields
- Proficiency in Autodesk, Powermill 5-axis programming
- Understanding of mold making, engineering, and manufacturing processes
