Validation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DDR/HBM Memory Validation Engineer to join our team in California (Onsite, 5 days/week). This role involves silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization of DDR and HBM memory subsystems, covering physical design, electrical, logic, performance, system, and software aspects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in memory validation, silicon debug, and lab testing, with expertise in C/C and Python.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 10 years in memory validation and characterization
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Required)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization of DDR and HBM memory subsystems
• Conduct Memory Electrical Characterization testing including Jitter Measurement and Shmoo Testing
• Develop and execute test patterns and stress generation tools
• Utilize logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and lab instruments for system-level debugging
• Debug silicon, software, and physical layer issues in DDR/HBM memory systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to triage memory-related failures and drive resolution
• Develop and improve validation environments, automation scripts, and test infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, power consumption, and reliability metrics

TOP SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Expertise in DDR and HBM memory validation (10 years)
• Strong understanding of system architecture, performance/power, electrical and software aspects of DDR/HBM subsystems
• Experience with Memory Electrical Characterization: Jitter Measurement, Shmoo Testing, and Offset Testing
• Proficiency in programming with C/C and Python (10 years)
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
• Ability to debug silicon at logic, software, and physical layers
• Familiarity with memory patterns and stress generator tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced lab environment and collaborating with a team

TOP 3 HARD SKILLS REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 years’ Experience in memory validation and characterization (SHMOO, off set testing)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience using coding language like C/Python
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with working collaboratively in a lab setting with a team
