Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a growing franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT. We are a buy, sell, trade store that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for attending to customers in a sales capacity while also carrying out a variety of shared retail activities required for daily operation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to an atmosphere that balances a friendly feel with professionalism
- Help customers of all ages feel welcome and learn their way around the store to develop an understanding of how the Bricks & Minifigs experience is unique
- When customer service is not required, prioritize time around other essential duties in a way that demonstrates efficiency, proficiency, and ability to follow directions
- Collaborating proactively and constructively with line management and other colleagues
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
25% Greeting and assisting customers in person and on the phone (requires a lot of standing)
10% Checking customers out on the point-of-sale system
35% Preparing LEGO product (sorting, cleaning, building, pricing)
10% Organizing and stocking products (requires lifting up to 50 pounds)
10% Sharing in cleaning responsibilities (e.g. vacuuming, restroom, dusting)
5% Supporting hosted and un-hosted in-store events
5% Sharing in other general retail activities as needed (e.g. annual stock count, special events)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written English communication
- Ability to be welcoming and approachable
- Highly organized with good quantitative ability and high degree of accuracy
- Rapidly learn about a variety of products and systems
- Preferred: 1 years of experience in customer service, point of sale experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of LEGO product, themes, and history
- Act with integrity and accountability
- Understand and follow policies, processes and ethical requirements
- Work collaboratively with others
- A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physically able to lift and move heavy boxes and stand for long periods of time
COMPENSATION, PERKS AND SHIFTS
- Depending on the availability of the person hired, this position will be between 30-40 hours per week with wages starting from $14.00/hour (depending on experience and availability) with potential for sales bonuses. Wages and hours for this position both have potential for increase based on performance of the business and the individual.
