Bricks & Minifigs is first and foremost a fun place for people of all ages to enjoy and explore their passion for LEGO. We facilitate this by providing excellent customer service and expert LEGO knowledge for all ages and abilities. We are a store that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements. Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a nationwide franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT.

Bricks & Minifigs is a LEGO buy, sell, trade & birthday party retail store. We offer a wide variety of new and retired LEGO sets, as well as selling bulk bricks, and individual minifigures.

Job Summary: Responsible for attending to customers in a sales capacity while also carrying out a variety of shared retail activities required for daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with events, marketing and social media campaigns, preparing product, and handling customer trading and selling activities

• Contribute to an atmosphere that balances a casual/friendly feel with professionalism

• Help customers, aged child to adult, learn their way around the store and develop an understanding of how the Bricks & Minifigs experience is unique

• Make sure the environment is safe and welcoming

• When customer service is not required, prioritize time around other essential duties in a way that demonstrates efficiency, proficiency, and ability to follow directions

• Support management with a variety of store operations activities

• Collaborating proactively and constructively with line management and other colleagues

Retail sales and customer service skills are required. LEGO knowledge is not required, although experience with the product will be helpful.

Job Type: Full-time, In person

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Experience level:

• Customer service: 2 years

• Retail experience: 1 year

• Skilled with Word, Excel Point-of-Sale systems

• Keyholder experience (Preferred)

• Loss prevention and cash management experience (Preferred)

• Experience with procurement and negotiation (Preferred)

• Familiar with LEGO product and themes (Preferred)

Position Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager

Positions Supervised: Store Associates (indirectly)

Working Days and Hours:

• Full Time, Weekdays and Weekends, Open and Close Shifts, including specified holidays

• One three-day weekend a month (Sat, Sun, Mon) plus one Sunday with the exception of December

• Same schedule rotates every four weeks

• 8-hour shift with 30-minute lunch break

• Physically able to lift and move heavy boxes and stand for long periods of time
