Are you looking for a fun and rewarding career with growth opportunity? We are looking for experienced and organized Store Associates to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to customers in a sales capacity while also carrying out a variety of shared retail activities required for daily operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow in a positive, fun environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide beyond exceptional customer service at all times
- Help customers, aged child to adult, learn their way around the store and develop an understanding of how the Bricks & Minifigs experience is unique
- Make sure the environment is safe and welcoming
- When customer service is not required, prioritize time around other essential duties in a way that demonstrates efficiency, proficiency, and ability to follow directions
- Support management with a variety of store operations activities and tasks
- Collaborating proactively and constructively with management and other colleagues
- Act with integrity and accountability at all times
- Be punctual and on-time
- Understand and follow instructions, direction, policies, processes and ethical requirements
- Work collaboratively with others and manage conflict appropriately
- A strong desire to learn what needs to be done to successfully operate a small business
- A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization
- Supporting management with general operations (e.g. opening, closing, purchasing, planning)
- Greeting and assisting customers in person and on the phone
- Checking customers out on the point-of-sale system
- Completing inventory related tasks such as buying, trading, building, and repairing inventory, sorting, and cleaning bulk elements, organizing, and stocking all inventory on the sales floor and backroom.
- Sharing in store cleaning responsibilities
Experience Required:
- In depth knowledge of LEGO® products
- Excellent oral and written English communication
- Ability to be welcoming and approachable
- Highly organized with good quantitative ability and high degree of accuracy and precision
- Rapidly learn about a variety of goods and systems
- Extremely strong attention to detail
- Ability to accurately count and manage cash
Preferred skills and experience:
- 1 years of experience in customer service or retail
- Previous training and/or work in retail sales
- Experience with procurement and negotiation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
