Technical Support Specialist | Information Technology
About the Role: As a Technical Support Specialist at Bricks R Us, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our internal technology systems at our Boise office. We are looking for a friendly & positive individual with a strong technical background, proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain and optimize our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate must have experience in the Microsoft environment, proficiency in Microsoft software applications, and computer hardware repair skills. Knowing these Microsoft programs using the admin portals are important: Power BI, Teams, Azure, SharePoint, Windows environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
· Maintain and optimize computer systems, ensuring their reliability and performance.
· Proficiency in WordPress for website management and updates.
· Responsible for supporting and managing the Windows environment and programs, information security (PCI compliance & training), and system administration.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
· Office experience and professionalism required.
· Technically savvy with strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
· Experience supporting Windows-based software and hardware.
· Experience in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint & Office software required.
· Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
· Proficiency in WordPress for web development and maintenance.
· Knowledge of information security best practices.
· Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , and Microsoft certifications are a bonus.
