Entry-Level Estimator – Commercial Projects

Brickworks Property Restoration is a specialty contractor focused on restoring and preserving commercial and residential masonry structures across Michigan. We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of construction drawings and a strong interest in preconstruction, estimating, and commercial masonry. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their career in the construction industry and gain valuable exposure to all aspects of the bidding and estimating process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with reviewing construction drawings and specifications for commercial masonry projects
• Perform material quantity takeoffs and preliminary cost estimates
• Support senior estimators with bid preparation and proposal development
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather project insights
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and the operations team
• Track changes in scope and documentation during the bidding phase
• Maintain accurate records and update project tracking systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documentation
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam or Planswift) is a plus
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, team-first attitude and a willingness to learn
