What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Nurse Supervisor position at Brickyard Healthcare?
We rely on and trust our Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide independent supervision of the delivery of care to a group of residents in a nursing unit.
The Nurse Supervisor assesses resident needs, develops individual care plans, administers nursing care, and evaluates nursing care. They supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Care Specialists (CNA), and other personnel, including other Nurses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective quality nursing care is delivered through the utilization of the nursing process.
- Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the resident/responsible party and interdisciplinary care team.
- Implement plans of care consistently, effectively, and cost-efficiently, focusing on resident-centered outcomes.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of current nursing practices to deliver and maintain optimum resident care and comfort.
Qualifications:
- Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in their practicing state.
- Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification.
- Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics are preferred.
- Demonstrate an understanding of state and Federal rules and regulations governing practices within the facility.
- Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth, and development is required.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
