Bridge Back to Life Center, Inc. is a network of outpatient chemical dependency treatment centers in the Metropolitan NY area. Since 1988, we have provided treatment to individuals suffering from addiction, along with education and support for their families and significant others. Our team of professional therapists and counselors incorporate Evidence-Based Practices and FDA approved medications to help individuals recover from substance dependence and make positive lifestyle changes.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Substance Abuse Counselor located in Brooklyn, NY. The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for treatment planning, case management, chemical dependency counseling, relapse prevention, and addressing mental health concerns on a day-to-day basis.
- Treatment Planning and Case Management skills
- Expertise in Chemical Dependency counseling
- Experience in Relapse Prevention strategies
- Understanding of Mental Health issues related to substance abuse
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Certification or licensure in substance abuse counseling
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices in addiction treatment
