What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Detailer position at Bridge Brothers Inc.?
Job Summary:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work directly with in-house engineers, communicating design requirements and ensuring accurate details.

Use Tekla Structures to create structural models and 2-D drawings.

Follow project schedules and ensure timelines are met.

Review all work for accuracy and completion. Revision control of existing drawings.

Produce & review detailed submittal and fabrication prints.

Offer support to purchasing. Create material takeoffs. Revise designs with help from the engineer as needed.

Offer support to the fabrication team. Provide assistance and revise details as necessary.

Communicate schedule with all team members. Track hours and provide deliverables in an efficient manner.

Use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software

G-suite software to include Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive, Keep, etc.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Associate degree or equivalent experience in design, architecture, construction engineering, or similar field is preferred.

Minimum 3 years of work experience in structural design and detailing structural components.

Advanced knowledge of structural design software. Tekla or equivalent is a must.

Possess a firm grasp on the manufacturing industry as a whole and stay up to date on processes and capabilities.

Knowledge of structural fabrication and weld symbols is required.

Stellar attention to detail, teamwork abilities, communication skills, and organizational skills.

Experience with Tekla, and other 3D CAD programs are a plus.

Experience in civil design is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST
