Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect to provide comprehensive engineering support for data triage and analysis both in the field and at the Sponsor’s site. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Linux, cloud, and cluster computing environments, with a strong focus on the Hadoop ecosystem and distributed technologies like Kafka and Presto. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ingest, assess, and strategically utilize new data while supporting network operations missions.

• Deliver engineering support for data triage and assessments in diverse environments.

• Leverage expertise in Linux, cloud computing, and cluster technologies, including Hadoop, Kafka, and Presto.

• Collaborate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ingest and analyze data, identifying new operational opportunities.

• Utilize extensive experience with cloud environments such as AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, and tools like SQL, Spark, or Presto.

• Employ advanced programming skills in Java, Python, and Perl across Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.

• Evaluate datasets to implement robust triage capabilities and provide strategic guidance.

• Develop and maintain system artifacts, including Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation.

• Support and participate in technical meetings with both domestic and foreign stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:   

• Demonstrated experience with Hadoop.

• Demonstrated experience understanding large distributed data systems, cloud infrastructure, and network architecture (Hadoop, Kafka, HBase, or Presto).

• Demonstrated experience with cloud, data management, and development environments: Specifically, AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, and SQL (as well as Spark or Presto).

• Demonstrated experience with programming skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, and Perl).

• Demonstrated experience in multiple computing environments (Window, Linux, and Mac OS).

• Demonstrated experience evaluating various data sets and incorporating a range of data triage capabilities.

• Demonstrated experience providing strategic guidance regarding operational opportunities.

• Demonstrated experience creating system artifacts such as Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation in conjunction with supporting documentation relative to data triage and analysis.

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in support to multi-disciplinary teams supporting network operations missions. Familiar with the workflow and skills supporting a team incorporated of operations officers, technical officers, and operators.
• Demonstrated experience supporting technical meetings in both domestic and foreign locations amongst stakeholders in direct support data triage and assessments.
