Major Gifts and Donor Stewardship Officer
Bridge House, a non-profit organization with locations and support across Metro Denver, provides an array of resources to help adults experiencing homelessness access basic needs and opportunities to stabilize in housing and employment including our award-winning Ready to Work program. We are currently seeking a full-time Major Gifts Officer and Donor Stewardship Officer starting immediately.
The position is located in Boulder, Colorado with an option for a hybrid work environment.
As part of a dynamic fundraising team, the Major Gifts and Donor Stewardship Officer is responsible for overseeing and implementing the organization’s strategy for attracting and securing financial support from individuals, family foundations and businesses. This position will report to the Senior Director of Philanthropy.
This role represents Bridge House to stakeholders including donors, community partners, businesses, and the Board Fundraising Committee. Work responsibilities include creating and establishing opportunities to attract community financial partners, attending community and networking events representing Bridge House, expanding the fundraising base, articulating program impact, defining target audiences for fundraising, executing fundraising channels to maximize reach and revenue, collaboration with Bridge House social enterprises and marketing efforts, and determining best practice communications vehicles and timelines to amplify fundraising efforts. In addition, this person should have the ability to manage resources, execute the coordination for campaigns and hire and manage vendors as necessary. Expectations are that 60% of the role will focus on new donor acquisition and 40% on stewardship, growing and sustaining current donors.
Job duties, include but are not limited to:
· Develop and implement fundraising strategy for individuals, family foundations and corporations in coordination with the philanthropy team
· Act as the primary Bridge House representative with existing donors and other stakeholders
· Grow current donor support (moves management) and attract and secure new donors $10,000 plus
· Develop intimate understanding of Bridge House mission and programs to communicate the impact of the programs to stakeholders
· Develop concepts and timelines for existing and new campaigns
· Work closely with marketing and communications manager on campaign collateral and social media
· Determine and manage events, including signature gala, to engage community members, current donors and to attract new donors
· Solicit businesses for ongoing sponsorship and underwriting support
· Collaborate with social enterprise staff on joint campaigns to maximize contacts, outreach, and financial support across the organization
· Maintain brand standards for Bridge House
· Project manage campaigns including development of strategy, execution and follow up
· Analyze donor activity and integrate findings into fundraising strategy with quarterly reporting
· Work with budgets to support campaigns, and projects across philanthropy department
· Engage in ongoing stewardship of existing donors, to include emails, phone calls, donor visits and special mailings
· Engage in timely and accurate acknowledgment of donor gifts
· Creative problem solving involving up to date, cutting edge fundraising strategies
· Experience with board engagement strategies
· Adaptive work strategies, willing to shift gears based on feedback, data and circumstances
Qualifications:
Education: BA or equivalent professional certification
Experience: 8 years of fundraising, marketing or sales experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

· Strong interpersonal skills
· Emotional intelligence
· Familiarity with social networking in person and online
· Ability to develop strategies, project manage and execute on strategy
· Experience with best fundraising practices and tactics
· Ability to analyze donor trends and results and articulate findings through standardized quarterly reporting
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Self-starter, ability to self-direct and find resources to support uncertainty
· Ability to work with a wide range of people (clients, volunteers, staff, service providers, funders, etc.)
· Excellent time management skills
· Timely attention to donor sensitive communications
· Familiarity with donor platforms such as, Salesforce, Classy and Colorado Gives, Meta, Canva, Google Suites
· Familiarity with Donor Advised Funds
· Ability to leverage social media platforms for support
Salary commensurate with experience, beginning at $37/hour
