Bridge Lacrosse is a sports-based youth development nonprofit serving the urban communities of North & Central Texas. Our mission is to use the sport of lacrosse to broaden the horizons of our community’s youth. We believe that our programs can become an integral part of youth development in the urban communities we serve. We seek energetic and enthusiastic individuals who will assist us in providing improved outcomes for our youth. The ideal candidate will believe strongly in building a culture of community and providing academic, educational, and relationship opportunities to youth, especially those from under-resourced communities.
AmeriCorps Members serving with Bridge Lacrosse commit to 4 months. This location requires a total service commitment of 300 hours, 26 hours per week, between May 27, 2025 to August 15, 2025. Additional terms may be available upon completion of the summer term.

Job Title: Summer Internship
Working Hours: 26 hours per week, evenings and weekends required
Description
Bridge Lacrosse is offering an exciting summer internship opportunity for passionate, driven individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the world of sports, coaching, and youth development. As part of our dynamic team in Austin, interns will be involved in a variety of activities designed to enhance the growth of lacrosse in the community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and operate all summer programming, including camps, clinics, and workshops
- Serve as primary coaching staff for our summer outreach programming
- Serve as a coaching staff for Bridge Summer Academy (overnight camp)
- Assist with the coordination and management of player recruitment and engagement for all summer programming
- Assist with various Bridge promotional events
- Assist with the coordination and management of volunteers and coaches
- Perform any other duties or tasks required to ensure the success of Bridge

Our ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial and can-do spirit in accomplishing the goals and objectives of Bridge. Lastly, the Intern must have a great sense of humor and energetic spirit in working with kids regularly.

• Lacrosse background preferred but not required
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, when necessary
• Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle required
• Former Bridge student-athletes are highly encouraged to apply
Benefits include
- Living Allowance of $3,00.00; paid out biweekly ($500.00)
- Education Award of $1,565.08; earned at the end of term
