Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned annd entrepreneurial Montessori Director to lead our Pasadena campus and contribute to the strategic vision of the school. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, passion for Montessori as well as proven track record of managing a large facility encompassing an infant toddler component , preschool, and elementary. This role involves overseeing curriculum development, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with educational standards including Title 22. The school is a faith based school so this candidate must exhibit similar Christian faith values to lead in line with the school’s core values.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the needs of preschool and toddler-aged children.
- Manage staff, including managing all aspects of staff Scheduling , time off protocols, coverage and maintaining ratios
- Manage daily operations of the school, including staff supervision, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Conduct billing and invoicing for all parents. Must have familiarly with Brightwheel and be comfortable with the app and computer literate (Microsoft, excel, Google docs, email, etc). .
- Foster a positive school culture that encourages collaboration among staff, parents, and the community.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of safety and care for children.
- Engage with parents through regular communication regarding their child's development and school activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Supervision & Administration units
- Health and Safety and Nutrition training
- Immunizations fully up to date
- CPR/First Aid
- Montessori certification
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a private school or early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and Montessori lesson planning tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with setting up a Montessori prepared environment and guiding teachers to do the same
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for partnering with parents, staff, and supervisors to foster a culture of excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating strong decision-making skills.
