Job Description
The Leasing Agent is responsible for effectively leasing apartments in our multifamily unit community. In addition to leasing activities, they also assist management with resident programs, administrative tasks, and resident retention strategies.
Essential Functions
- Greet and qualify prospective residents, provide tours of the community, and present features and amenities.
- Process lease agreements, obtain required information, conduct rental history and credit checks, and secure approvals.
- Follow up with prospects regarding the status of their applications.
- Accurately and timely input information into computer systems.
- Ensure apartment readiness for residents' move-in dates.
- Assist in collecting delinquent rents and participate in planning resident functions.
- Gather information about market competition in the area.
- Comply with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws, as well as follow safety procedures and notify supervisors of potential hazards.
- Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

- Possess competence in using standard office equipment, including telephones, internet, fax machines, and photocopiers.
