What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapeutic Mentor position at Bridge The Gap Services?
LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO LIVE IN SANTA BARBARA.
Needs experience with substance abuse.
Bridge The Gap is a therapeutic mentoring company that supports individuals in their day to day routine, outside of their treatment environment (therapy/residential/etc). In addition, we provide family mentoring to parents and spouses needing support with setting boundaries and engaging in self-care. Please check out our website! www.bridgethegapservices.com
The Mentor: A mentor must have experience working with and/or taking classes relating to addiction and/or mental health. A big requirement for mentoring is the willingness to collaborate with a team as one of our main goals is to ‘bridge the gap’ between individuals and their treatment providers so that everyone is on the same page and able to provide fluid support. Another requirement is for the mentor to feel confident in communicating with other treatment providers and family members. A mentor needs to be open to suggestion and collaboration but able to hold their own with strong personalities.
Job Hours: This job is part-time. It is similarly structured to having a private practice. You would not start until a client that is an appropriate match for you signs on. At that point, we would reach out to you to work with this client and continue to build your case load from there.
