Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with elementary age students with developmental disabilities, providing support and implementing behavior management strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in helping students achieve their educational goals and improve their quality of life through effective behavioral therapy techniques.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans and care plans tailored to each student’s needs.
• Carry out behavior management and instructional strategies facilitated by the teacher effectively
• Collect accurate data to monitor student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
• Foster a positive environment and establish good rapport with students
• Collaborate with other staff members as part of a team to enhance student growth and performance

Experience

• Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities
• Previous experience working with students with autism preferred
• Previous experience working in school setting is preferred
• Familiarity with behavioral health practices and principles
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to provide clear and accurate data collection
