Primary Focus:
The Interior Construction Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the continued success of Vision Contractors through their ability to drive sales, lead projects and collaborate outside of the organization as needed. This role reports to the executive leadership of Vision Contractors, LLC.
Overall, the ideal candidate will be overseeing all aspects of business development, estimating, project management and office work. They are responsible for managing daily operations, setting budgets, delivering on profit projections, identifying areas of improvement, and strategic planning. Their ability to stick to schedules, stay within budget, maintain quality, collaborate effortlessly and consistently to successful outcomes is key. What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Management oversight from pre-con throughout the estimating, bidding and project management process.
- Performing the take-off process such as reviewing blueprints, estimating costs associated with the scope of work, and producing an accurate job bid proposal.
- Responsible for the implementation and administration of contracts.
- Up to 20% of work hours will be spent in the field to ensure active projects are progressing as planned; Attends pre-bid meetings, job site walk throughs and regular site visits.
- Accountable for overseeing engineering and construction management capacity for all activities of assigned projects.
- Responsible for tracking labor, subs and percent complete, daily and weekly.
- Communicate directly with customers as needed to address concerns and to serve as a general progress update.
- Generate detailed proposals that accurately define scope of work and job costs; Incorporates knowledge of material usage, manpower phases, equipment and general conditions as required.
- Gathers information from big invitations to produce accurate job bids (sending RFI’s, contacting material vendors, sourcing specialty products, etc...)
- Follow up with proposals that are awaiting responses to maximize response rates.
- Negotiating extras to the contract to generate out of contract work; Adept in processing change orders to ensure all of the appropriate documentation is maintained.
- Monitors and reports on construction progress, including but not limited to; financial reporting, cost analysis, statistic and data research and other reporting as requested by company leadership.
- Process all billing for Vision ensuring that customers are involved within the proper timeframe; i.e. Progress Billing (AIA documents)
- Responsible for managing labor schedules for field-based employees.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Must have strong understanding of the drywall trade and have 10 years' experience in the business.
- Ability to read blueprints is preferred but will train if necessary.
- Knowledge of Procore, Salesforce, Sage 300, Blue Beam, and Building Connected a plus.
- Must have a positive team-oriented attitude when dealing with internal and external clients.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Adept at customer relations with the ability to prevent and solve potential issues through detail-oriented behaviors and strong customer service skills.
- Is a self-starter that holds themselves accountable. They can take projects from start to finish with minimal outside intervention while collaborating as needed.
- Has strong communication skills across all departments in the organization as well as with vendors, professional contacts, and vendors.
- Is comfortable influencing decisions on which projects to pursue using advanced knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and financial management.
- Will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with high expectations and defined outcomes.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.
