What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Job Coach position at Bridge To Work?
The Summer Job Coach is responsible for providing individuals with on-the-job supports in order to improve job knowledge and skills. You will work with 1-2 high school age students in a prearranged work site. You will assist individuals with preparing for employment and establishing independence on the job. The Job Coach may need to address the issues of hygiene/grooming, social/communication skills, and interactions with co-workers. Job Coach completes appropriate reports and performs various job duties as assigned by the owner.
Responsibilities:
Provides job coaching to individuals to help learn work skills and job tasks.
Amends approach based on individual’s needs and progress.
Focusing on specific behaviors and skills the individual will need to succeed in the work environment.
Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively.
Advise on workplace accommodation for people with disabilities.
Communicate with individuals to understand their goals and ambitions.
Completes documentation on regular basis.
Follow Bridge To Work policies and procedures as well as regulatory standards.
Works on site with individuals at their worksite.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or GED required, with 1 year experience working with people with disabilities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver License. A background check is required.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
