Who You Are
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join our IT team and support the Accounting and Finance departments. The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing support tickets, change controls, requirements gathering, and technical documentation, ensuring that all solutions align with business needs and comply with best practices. This role demands strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of accounting and finance processes, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Support & Operations Management :
Oversee and manage support tickets related to Accounting and Finance applications
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring timely response and resolutionCoordinate with technical teams and vendors when escalations are requiredDevelop and maintain dashboards and metrics in support of demand and fulfilment of support Incidents and RequestsRequirements Gathering and Documentation :Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for enhancements, configurations, and new functionalities
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment with existing systemsChange Control Management :Lead the change control process for Accounting and Finance applications, coordinating and documenting requests
Conduct impact assessments and ensure that changes are effectively planned, tested, and implemented in compliance with governance policiesTechnical Documentation :Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, system configurations, functional specifications, and test scripts
Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for audits, SOX compliance, and internal reviewsData Analysis and Reporting :Analyze data to support accounting and finance operations, including ad-hoc reporting requests
Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to track system performance and support data-driven decision-makingStakeholder Engagement :Act as the primary point of contact for the Accounting and Finance teams, understanding their needs and acting as a liaison with IT
Provide training and guidance to end-users on system functionalities and best practicesDevelop and maintain plans, priorities and technology roadmap objectives, in collaboration with stakeholders in IT, Accounting and Finance teamsContinuous Improvement :Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements that support accounting and finance efficiency and accuracy

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably supporting Finance or Accounting departmentsTechnical proficiency with ERP systems (SAP S / 4HANA preferred) and financial software solutionsStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specificationsExperience with change management and support ticketing systemsExcellent documentation skills and familiarity with technical documentation standardsStrong understanding of SOX compliance and regulatory requirementsEffective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersPreferred Skills :Experience with change management tools (e.g. Veeva Quality)
