What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Licensed Counselor position at BRIDGEMARK INC?
We are seeking a licensed counselor to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and facilitate group therapy sessions during evening hours and possibly some Saturday mornings. Additional group sessions may be available. This role is essential in guiding clients through recovery, fostering engagement in group therapy, and working collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure personalized, high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate IOP group therapy sessions, fostering client engagement and utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities
Assist clients in developing coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and personal recovery goals
Offer guidance, education, and support to clients and their families regarding substance use and recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including clinical staff, case managers, and external providers, to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with licensing, accreditation, and agency standards
Ensure compliance with BHDDH regulations, ethical guidelines, and agency policies
Participate in clinical meetings, staff trainings, and case consultations as needed
Foster a positive, inclusive, and recovery-focused therapeutic environment
Qualifications:
LCDP, LMHC, or LICSW (Active State Licensure Required)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Knowledge of substance use counseling, DSM-5, ICD-10, and ASAM criteria
Experience facilitating group therapy using evidence-based treatment approaches
BA in a related field or 2 years of experience in a substance use treatment setting
Ability to engage diverse client populations with a compassionate and client-centered approach
Upbeat, positive, and dedicated to supporting recovery and long-term wellness
