Associate Director, Administration

The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is seeking a highly experienced Associate Director for Administration (AD) to join the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC). The UACC is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Cancer Center headquartered in the State of Arizona. Reporting directly to the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) Director, the Associate Director of Administration is a key member of the leadership team which is responsible for the establishment and execution of programmatic research priorities which enable the Cancer Center to fulfill its mission and vision. The AD is the principal administrative officer of Cancer Center's research enterprise and will provide administrative oversight and drive future strategy for enhancing and expanding cancer research across all Colleges/Schools within the University of Arizona.

The Associate Director (AD) plays a key role in the development, implementation, and programmatic evaluation of the Center's research efforts, crucial for maintaining its National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation every five years. Responsibilities of this high-level executive position include elevating clinical and research dimensions of the Center, administrative accountability for the Center’s assigned space, investments, budget, and information systems associated with the Center’s research operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
• Minimum of 11 years of related work experience, including 7 years of managerial experience, preferably in large complex institutions or organizations, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Requires experience in leading multiple teams, projects, programs, and/or functions.
