JOB SUMMARY:
The Ultrasound Tech produces satisfactory diagnostic two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of the heart and other internal organs for use by the Cardiologist and/or Radiologist in diagnosis of disease and study of the functions of the heart and other organs.
Unltrasound Technician, Hospital Ultrasound, Sonography, Cardiovascular Credenialing Interntional, CCI, Cardiac Sonographer
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Satisfactory completion of a Sonography program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Licenses/Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) is required
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience: 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience is preferred.
