Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join its Information Technology group. As the Information Security Analyst I, you’ll be at the forefront of safeguarding the firm’s critical information assets. Your expertise will drive the implementation and management of cutting-edge security controls, ensuring compliance, and responding to emerging threats. In this dynamic role, you’ll actively enhance the firm’s security posture while staying ahead of evolving risks, technologies, and vulnerabilities.
A Day in the Life
- Develop and maintain security plans, procedures, and checklists.
- Implement and manage tools such as firewalls, encryption software, and anti-virus programs to protect sensitive data.
- Manage incident response protocols, handling email security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, and investigating breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001:2022, SOC II, and HIPAA, monitoring for variances and recommending improvements.
- Lead vulnerability management efforts by identifying, assessing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities and collaborating on remediation strategies.
- Monitor emerging threats and industry trends to implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Assess third-party security risks and maintain robust defenses.
- Integrate security into project designs and manage user requests and security tickets with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights to strengthen overall security posture.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Has at least two years of experience in IT system or security administration.
- Is proficient in Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Office 365, Defender, and NIST 800-53 standards.
- Holds an accredited security certification such as Security .
- Has strong knowledge of network security, encryption, key management best practices, and vulnerability management tools.
- Possesses excellent analytical skills to proactively identify and address security issues and vulnerabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell/Python).
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, MS Flow, Nmap, Qualys, and Smartsheet.
- Experience using KQL (Kusto Query Language).
