What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Aide (PART-TIME) position at BridgePointe Assisted Living Facility?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in an assisted living and memory care setting
- Work directly with the residents of the assisted living and memory support unit under the direction of the Administrator
- Obtain materials and conduct activities tailored to the needs of individual residents
- Implement the posted monthly activity calendar
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, when necessary
- Assist with therapeutic activities programming both for specific individuals and for groups
- Document resident participation and process in activity programs (taking pictures & videos)
Qualifications:
- Must be computer proficient
- A passion for working with the elderly, especially individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia
- Be energetic individual with the creativity and enthusiasm needed to work with this population
- Must possess outstanding customer service skills (friendly, good attitude, and calm disposition) and the ability to interact and build relationship with older adults
- Be able to communicate effectively and compassionately with seniors
- Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills required
- Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual
- Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
- Able to work weekends and holidays (if and as needed)
