Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Tribal Administrator to oversee the daily operations of all Tribal departments and programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing direct supervision of staff leaders, including directors, managers, and coordinators.
- Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as tribal, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Administering grants to ensure results and overseeing grants administered by Directors, Grants Managers, or Coordinators.
- Aiding in negotiations of Tribal Council approved contracts, grant agreements, and contracts for services or leases.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of five years of experience in an administrative capacity, or a combination of education, training, and experience equal to five years of successful experience as an administrator or in a position of equal responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience managing tribal government operations, tribal communities, and agencies.
- Basic knowledge of principles and practices in employment law, financial operations, audit preparation, monetary management, human resources/personnel, property, and contract management.
