Summary
This is a full time position that is responsible for cutting and welding steel and pipe according to shop drawings. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Read shop drawings; fabricate accordingly.
- Weld structural steel and pipe in all positions with SMAW.
- Proficient in cutting and welding with oxy-accetelone.
- Shop and field work involved.
Qualifications
- Previous welding experience or equivalent training in welding equipment and technology; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Skilled in SMAW and oxy-accetelone.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
- Ability to do pipe layout and weld high pressure pipe.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
