Production Operator Job Description
The Production Operator like all employees of Bridger Precast is a core member of the company. The quality of the product, cost of the product and production output are a direct reflection of the Production Operator and thus the basis of the evaluation of the position. This position is responsible for the daily duties in the precast concrete manufacturing plant. Production operators report to the “Production Manager.” This is a safety sensitive position and drug screening is required at time of job offer.
Essential Job Functions
o Strip metal molds from product:
o Clean metal molds
o Oiling the molds
o Setting up molds
o Pouring Concrete
o Housekeeping
o Other duties
o Maintain a work environment that promotes the team emphasis on production of a quality product in a safe manner
o Initiate and embrace a safety culture where all employees feel comfortable communicating safety concerns
o All other duties as assigned
o Strip, clean and setup the molds the precast is made in
o Operate multiple pieces of equipment (cranes, forklifts)
o Shovel, vibrate, finish concrete products
o Maintain good housekeeping
o Follow all safety regulations on the shop floor and report any safety issues
o Follow all policy and procedures of APS
o Follow all Core Values all the time

Work Schedule
This is construction-based employment. Bridger Precast along with most construction based companies in the area has a busy and slow season, Bridger Precast busy season is during the summer and fall. Number of days worked in a week during the busy season can be up to 6. This schedule can last multiple weeks or even months, though we try to keep the work hours more manageable for our team. Schedules are flexible and start and finish times will vary depending on what company needs are. The Production Manager will establish your work schedule.
Qualifications
Skills
· Ability to read a tape measure in both English scale and Engineers scale (10ths) forms
· Ability to follow safety procedures and care for personal safety of self and co-workers
· Knowledge of how to use basic tools and their uses (adjustable wrench, hammers, hand scrapers, shovel, screwdrivers and the like.)
· Excellent organizational skills
· Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English in this position
Physical Demands
· Stand for 6-12 hours a day as needed
· Lift 100 lbs or more occasionally, lift 50 lbs frequently
· Walking primarily on a level surface, but going up and down stairs on occasion
· Climbing, bending and lifting as required in the demonstration of certain job tasks
· Push / Pull as required
Work Environment
· Typical shop or outdoor environment approximately 100% of work week
· Daily exposure to both outdoor and indoor manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and boots
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
