Yard Operator

Description/Job Summary

The Yard Operator like all members of Bridger Precast is an integral part of operations. The Yard Operator has the opportunity to either increase or decrease the efficiency of manufacturing and of truck loading. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities/Duties (will include but not be limited to):

· Maintain clean, organized yard

· Load outside trucks and turn in paperwork

· Organize product – stock items & job specific items

· Organize forms & accessory form equipment

· Maintain roadways

· Keep aggregate bins full

· Maintain steel reinforcement and turn in paperwork

· Ensure that any product that is damaged is repaired

· Unload incoming trucks and turn in paperwork

· All other duties assigned

· Work Efficiently

· The production staff is your customer

o Ensure production staff has their shop cleared in a timely fashion

o Ensure production staff has their molds in a timely fashion

o Ensure supplies that are needed are supplied in a timely fashion

· Maintenance

o Daily visual inspections of equipment & conveyor

o Scheduled and documented maintenance inspections on equipment

o Ensure equipment that needs to be taken out of service are taken out of service and reported

o Maintain and inspect rigging on equipment

o Clean and grease equipment

What a clean yard looks like:

· Product located in appropriate locations according to layout plan

· Standard product is stacked when appropriate

· Product is lined up

· Product has stickers facing out

· Custom products are grouped in jobs

· No seconds are mixed in with product

· Similar forms placed together

· Forms are oiled prior to being stored

· Forms are not stored with concrete in them

· Expandable box pieces are stored vertically and oiled

· Forms are not laid down to rust and be covered with snow

· Forms are placed so they can be easily retrieved without having to move other forms off of them

· Accessory form equipment is placed on pallets

· All parts to one form are placed together

· Forms like splash pads are stored upside down as not to accumulate water and dust

· Empty pallets are stacked

· Garbage is picked up

· Steps are stocked

· Continuously get up and down equipment

Work Environment

· Typical yard environment 100% of the time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
