ABOUT BRIDGERLAND TECHNICAL COLLEGE
Our college is committed to serving the technical education needs of the Bear River region. Our approach is "hands-on, competency-based". The Cafe is located at the north end of the Logan Campus. A variety of freshly made sandwiches, burgers, snacks, and beverages are available. A different entree is made daily in our Culinary Arts facility.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAFE TEAM MEMBER
As a Cafe team member, you get to be part of a program that showcases the talents and creativity found in the Culinary Arts department. Most of your time is spent planning and preparing menus, creating a clean and inviting atmosphere, and ensuring food safety standards are met. You will assist the Culinary Arts department in ensuring the smooth operation of the customer serving area by performing a variety of duties for the set-up, delivery, and serving of food. With customer service as your highest priority, you greet and acknowledge every customer as well as maintaining solid product knowledge and outstanding standards.
You grill menu items according to established procedures and assemble food in an appealing manner. Additionally, you set up stations, replenish food, and break down stations at the end of meal periods. You maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter. You also help to keep the kitchen, fridges, and freezers organized and sparkling clean as well as sanitize counters, steam tables, and other equipment. You love the camaraderie that comes with being part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly run kitchen and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are never bored!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CAFE TEAM MEMBER
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended hours, and work on slippery surfaces in a humid kitchen environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Familiar with cash-handling and point-of-sale systems
- Leadership ability
- Self Motivated
Prior food service experience is preferred but we are happy to train someone with the right attitude and capabilities. Do you love food and the culinary arts? WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time food service position works Monday - Friday from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
