Who You Are
The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will work closely with the VP of Insights, Analytics and FP&A in financial modeling and on-going analysis to support the company's growth objectives while ensuring financial health and stability. The FP&A Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to create budgets, forecasts, and financial models, ultimately providing insights to management to support strategic decision-making within the company. Key duties include monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and advising management of potential risks or opportunities impacting the business, and communicating financial performance through reports and presentations.
On-site position located at the Bridges Consumer Healthcare corporate office in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Annual Budget Planning / Quarterly Re-Forecasts: develop and maintain annual budgets for various business units, including revenue and expense forecasts
- Financial Forecasting: coordinate with Commercial and Operations teams to create accurate financial projections for upcoming periods, analyzing trends and identifying potential risks and/or opportunities to inform future business strategies
- Financial Analysis / Reporting: generate regular reports and data visualizations including, but not limited to, daily sales reporting/analysis; prepare ad-hoc analysis or reports as needed
- Performance Analysis: monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and explaining the underlying cause(s)
- Data Management / Analysis: manage external and internal data sources (“master data”) coordinating with service providers to ensure integrity of data; extract data from multiple ERPs (Great Plains, NetSuite, etc.) and analyze data to identify key trends and insights; upload/maintain data in various reporting systems (i.e., IBM Planning Analytics)
- Ad-Hoc: assist with month-end close
Required skills for an FP&A Analyst:
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving: Ability to interpret financial data, identify patterns/ issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions to improve performance.
- Financial modeling: Proficiency in creating and manipulating financial models.
- Communication skills: Effectively present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Computer skills: advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mastering complex functions, creating dynamic models, using pivot tables, VBA programming, etc.) and PowerPoint (effectively communicate financial information through charts, graphs and dashboards to support Leadership Team and Board of Director material preparation); familiarity with financial management software / ERP systems (i.e., NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.); basic coding knowledge in languages such as SQL and Python.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Professional Experience: 2 years of experience in financial analysis or related analytical field.
- Role Specific Competencies: Strong analytical, numerical, and critical-thinking skills with ability to translate and convey findings into actionable insights. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and time management skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be highly motivated and able to work effectively in both their independent and team role. Must be professional in confidentiality and the capacity for discretionary decision-making.
