Bridges Health is looking to add a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to their team!
This individual will play a vital role in the company by working closely with residents and/or responsible parties to gather financial information to assist in determining if residents will qualify for Medicaid. The position requires individuals to be resourceful, collaborative, and capable of handling multiple tasks (including research, meeting with and communicating with residents via email/phone, and collecting required financial verifications). Responsibilities and Purpose
- Assessment: Responsible for assessing finances for all new inquiries prior to admission, as well as current residents transitioning from skilled to long term care services.
- Data Entry: Responsible for data entry of resident’s income and assets into Financial Planning Questionnaire to assist in identifying possible Medicaid eligibility issues.
- Data Collection: Collecting required financial documents as identified during financial interview.
- Communication: Send and receive faxed/emailed documents electronically.
- Deploy, maintain and report on various programs.
- Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion.
Requirements
- Experience in or knowledge of Medicaid eligibility.
- Ability to pass criminal background check.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desired Traits and Experience
- Business Office Manager or Admissions Coordinator experience is helpful.
- Ability to communicate with others in a professional manner.
