- Polk County Jail
Job Summary:
To assist in the supervision of daily medication times. All medications are given to persons served for self-administration at our substance abuse treatment facility Bridges of Iowa located in the West Wing of the Polk County Jail.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- accurately supervise clients self-administration of prescribed medication
- ensure they are taking medications as prescribed
- complete daily medication counts
- pick up medications at pharmacy
- review client charts to ensure medication counts match
- works with program director to ensure compliance with Bridges of Iowa pharmacotherapy/Medication Management policies and procedures
Documentation
- complete required critical incident reporting when appropriate
- enter all medical documentation into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) required by State, accrediting body, and Bridges of Iowa
Teamwork/Professionalism
- model Bridges of Iowa mission and values for all clients and staff
- attends required company and in-house meetings and trainings
- maintain appropriate attire and appearance
- recognize and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- follows Bridges of Iowa policies and procedures
- ensure successful completion of UA/BAC process
- reports issues and concerns to supervisors and counseling staff
