Job Description
Working one-on-one with a child with autism, a Behavior Technician performs day-to-day execution of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment against Treatment Plans created by and under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The technician performs direct client care and interventions that discourage negative behavior and encourage positive behavior that improves upon client communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. The technician collects and records data based on client behavior and ongoing progress.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, working as a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for an autism services provider.
- Excellent client care, customer service, computer, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet assigned goals.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check (required by insurance).
- Stable work history.
- Reliability is essential (make it to work on time with minimal absences).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proof of employment eligibility/work authorization.
Advantageous Qualifications
- An existing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- An existing First Aid and CPR certification.
- Completion of college coursework or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or other related field.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
