The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing various technical projects as directed by the Manager of Technical Services. Provide technical assistance to customers, sales, production, and customer service departments. Coordinates activities to evaluate and resolve technical concerns.
POSITION DUTIES:
*Provide technical support for customers
*Conduct various technical presentations
*Support retread level escalation with customers
*Investigate tire failures and customer concerns
*Collect operation/ field conditions and tire performance data
*Perform statistical analysis on field and production data
*Analyze rejection rates to identify shifts in product quality and changes in market conditions
*Analyze operation and field condition data to anticipate and understand quality concerns
*Determine key variables affecting tire performance
*Monitor competitors through various media
*Coordinate and follow in-service evaluations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•B.S. in Engineering; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to comprehend and apply statistical methods
•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
•Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
•Ability to effectively manage projects.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office
•Excellent Communication Skills
•Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
