Salary
The pay range for this position is $21.06 - $38.59 per hour, with the opportunity for performance-based compensation through our flat-rate pay system. Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Automotive Specialist. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
- Adequately explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
- Staying current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assisting and training technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtaining or maintaining A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A valid automobile driver's license at all times and the ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair.
- Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
- Reading, writing and math skills.
