Quality Lab Tech - Acceptance testing of compounds, materials, and in process testing of rubber compounds in accordance with the working standards and quality guidelines.
$19.00 per hour
Schedule: 5AM -5PM – ROTATING SHIFT 2-2-3 Off SHIFT
Job Description:
Rubber Compound Testing
Day to day pre-release testing done on mixed compounds to confirm the physical properties of the compound.
Miscellaneous Activities:
Provide vacation/absentee coverage as needed.
Complete daily work activity logs.
Assist as need for resolution of non-conforming tests.
Enter end of shift data into summary spreadsheet.
Assist with miscellaneous activities as required by supervision
Computers, various computer programs, spreadsheets, and bar code scan gun. Motorized cart, 3 wheeled tricycle, knife and scissors.
Must follow existing safety rules. Use proper lifting and cutting techniques.
Comply with all safety policies. Safety glasses and safety shoes are required.
Education: HS diploma, some college is a plus
Intermittent computer skills:
- Perform all quality control tests
- Comply with the quality system
- Coordinate findings with quality and production personnel to facilitate quality goals
