Description
BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction of credit courses and maintaining lab equipment / areas as assigned.
We are seeking adjuncts to teach sections of our course, Nutrition and Diet Therapy (BIOL 245). The standard rate of pay for a three credit hour course is $1,800 per semester. This course could be online or face-to-face on our South Charleston campus.
Examples of Duties
- Instruct credit courses by identifying learning outcomes / competencies, developing lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum which establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects.
Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses
Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Unofficial copies of transcripts can be sent, but originals must be available prior to hire.
Minimum :
OR earned master's degree with 18 completed graduate credit hours in biology or related subfield
Preferred
Aptitude for using technology and innovative methods for instructional delivery
