TITLE: Desktop Support Specialist (PART-TIME)
LOCATION: Onsite – Lexington, KY

OVERVIEW
Responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of IT-related systems and peripherals, and software to ensure optimal infrastructure performance.
Works under general supervision to support computer systems, software and peripherals, including documenting, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading computer hardware and software.
Provides training and support to end users and staff on various IT related subjects.
Documents, maintains, analyzes and repairs desktop software, computer systems, peripherals, and local and networked devices.
Responds to telephone calls, emails, on-line Service Center tickets, and personnel requests for infrastructure support in a timely manner.
Communicates status or progress of any outstanding issues in a timely manner to affected group(s) and management.
Researches and resolves desktop hardware and software related problems, collaborating with site infrastructure support technicians, network and system administrators or application analysts for more complex issues.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proficient in Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems and MS Office Software.
- Possess the ability to communicate to all levels using excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Incident management skills.
- Problem Investigation skills.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness in the work area.
- Onsite 3 days a week 7:30am-4pm
EDUCATION
Associate degree in a related field or 2 years’ combination of education and applicable IT experience (preferred not required).
