What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Bridgewater Bank?
We are seeking a meticulous, self-directed, and collaborative Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team at Bridgewater Bank in St. Louis Park. Reporting to the AVP Accounting Operations, in this role, you will perform a variety of accounting activities to support the daily finance and accounting functions of the Bank.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the bank’s daily settlement process
- Assist with the research of open accounting issues and discrepancies.
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts for bank and affiliated entities
- Ensure the timely funding of intercompany receivables and payments.
- Generate and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings
- Maintain manual of finance department processes and procedures
- Monitor compliance with loan fee and cost rules
- Generate reports utilizing Business Analytics tool
- Assist with effective tax rate calculation and tax position analysis
- Complete ICS/CDARS reconciliation, verification, and research differences
- Assist with SOX Control processes and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of related accounting experience
- Detail oriented, efficient, and organized
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-starter and curious with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Protect company integrity by keeping information confidential
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Fiserv Premier would be a plus
- Prior banking experience a plus
- Bachelor’s in accounting or related field preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The typical base pay range for this role is between $72,700 - $81,500. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
