Bridgewater Chocolate LLC is an award-winning handmade confection manufacturer specializing in premium enrobed American style chocolates manufactured in our production facility in Brookfield, CT.
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacture of our premium brand of chocolate confections. Responsibilities include management of production and staff (enrobing and kitchen), monitoring and smooth operation of all production lines, and ensuring product quality.
The ideal candidate has thorough knowledge of food production procedures and quality standards along with strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills. The ability to manage and direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the coordination, planning and execution of all production activities and direction of enrobing and kitchen personnel
- Closely monitor production to quickly resolve issues and ensure product meets quality standards
- Ensure strict adherence to food quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Evaluate resource needs (personnel, equipment, raw materials, etc.) to ensure continuous and efficient production of quality products
- Evaluate and schedule equipment maintenance with minimal impact to production schedule
- Ensure adherence to FIFO / FEFO procedures for all raw material and finished goods inventory
- Identify and implement production process optimization and improvement establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced cost of manufacturing operations
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve production output, safety, and quality
- Communicate with management regarding problems or issues impacting production and report regularly on key production metrics
- Set goals for each production team and assist with the hiring and training of production staff
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Six or more years of experience in a food production or product-management role
- Proficient in MS Office, NetSuite, and other project management software
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage a team efficiently and effectively
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Prior experience planning and organizing production schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
