We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our Bridgewater Chocolate team in West Hartford. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and maintaining the overall presentation of the store. A love for chocolate is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and recommendations.
- Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately, processing transactions and handling cash.
- Maintain stock levels by organizing inventory, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth store operations.
- Uphold store cleanliness and organization standards, creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about products and services as well as taking orders
- Open and close the store
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Attention to detail in maintaining stock levels and store presentation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
