Position: 250035 - Oracle Primavera Process Consultant
Location: Hybrid - San Antonio, Texas (3-4 days/week onsite)
An Oracle Primavera Process Consultant is a professional who specializes in analyzing, designing, and optimizing project management workflows within an organization by leveraging the Oracle Primavera suite of project management software, particularly focusing on streamlining processes and ensuring efficient project execution across different project phases; they work closely with clients to understand their specific needs, identify gaps in existing processes, and implement best practices using Primavera tools to achieve optimal project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their project management needs, identify pain points, and gather detailed requirements for system implementation and process improvement.
- Process Analysis:
- Evaluate existing project management workflows, identifying areas for optimization and potential bottlenecks within the Primavera system.
- Solution Design:
- Develop customized project management processes within Primavera based on client requirements, including defining project structures, custom fields, and workflows.
- Implementation and Configuration:
- Configure Primavera software to align with the designed processes, including setting up user permissions, defining project templates, and data mapping.
- Data Migration:
- Assist in migrating data from existing systems into Primavera, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training to end-users on Primavera functionalities and best practices for utilizing the system effectively.
- Change Management:
- Facilitate the transition to new processes by managing user adoption and addressing concerns.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Create customized reports and dashboards within Primavera to monitor project progress, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights for decision-making.
Required
- 5-7 years of experience
- Expertise in Oracle Primavera P6:
- In-depth knowledge of Primavera P6 features, functionalities, and best practices for project scheduling, resource management, and cost control.
- Project Management Fundamentals:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI), including project lifecycle stages, critical path analysis, and risk management.
- Business Analysis Skills:
- Ability to analyze business requirements, identify process gaps, and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, gather requirements, and present technical concepts.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Basic understanding of database concepts and ability to write simple queries may be beneficial.
