Position: 250038 - Oracle WACS Functional Consultant
Location: Hybrid - San Antonio, Texas (3-4 days/week onsite)
An Oracle Technical Analyst in a front-office role primarily focuses on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Oracle applications (CC&B, CRM, Sales) within a company's internal systems, often working behind the scenes to diagnose problems with databases, server operations, and application functionalities, utilizing tools and expertise to maintain smooth system operations and support end-users by fixing backend issues.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and issue resolution:
- Investigating complex technical problems within Oracle applications, including database queries, application logic, and integration points.
- Log analysis:
- Reviewing server logs and database error messages to identify root causes of issues.
- Data analysis:
- Extracting and analyzing data from Oracle databases to diagnose problems and identify trends
- System monitoring:
- Proactively monitoring Oracle systems for performance issues and potential problems
- Patch management:
- Applying Oracle software updates and patches to maintain system stability
- Configuration management:
- Managing settings and configurations within Oracle applications to optimize performance
- Collaboration with stakeholders:
- Communicating with internal users and other IT teams to understand issues, provide updates, and coordinate solutions
Required
- 3-5 years of experience
- Deep understanding of Oracle database technologies:
- Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, database administration concepts
- Expertise in Oracle applications:
- Familiarity with specific Oracle modules like CRM, CC&B, Sales
- Problem-solving skills:
